Robotics Class FAQ
What is the class timing? Classes will happen during the daytime on Thursdays. What should the students bring to the class? Students are recommended to bring their own programming device - a Chromebook/laptop. What is the age range? Ages 8+. Grades 3 through 8. Will the students work as a team? One FIRST LEGO League Challenge Team can have maximum of 10 students. Who are your staff and what experience do they have? All our staff are background screened teachers with lots of professional experience in working with kids. Our Robotics Instructors are officially certified by Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy. The certification provides an official and public recognition of their competencies and capabilities to teach, program and troubleshoot educational robots. All our instructors are passionate about teaching kids. Shiva Robotics Academy is an approved vendor in Duval County Public School System. Do the kids need to bring any building materials? Purchase of the Spike Prime Robotic Kit is highly recommended. We provide the Engineering Journal for the students which has all the information about the game rules and specifications. How much is the class fee and how can I pay? Tuition fees is payable monthly ($150) or quarterly($425).
